A Voice Crying in the Wilderness

Look at this subject search page. It has the most subtle and subversive humor I’ve ever seen on a library Web page. It’s pointing out that LC has arcane language. Not cookbooks, but Cookery (a rather famous example among librarians). (Only in the 1990s did LC change Water Closets to Toilets.)

Bloglines Improvements

Sorry Not to Write, I’m Writing

I’ve been very busy completing homework assignments for my MFA classes. I’m up to the gills in reading and writing… as it should be! It’s a refreshing change for me to have so much assigned, intentional writing, and I’m learning a lot. Scary, daunting, overwhelming, yes, and deeply satisfying.
