I read Bonfire of the Vanities in High School after seeing the movie, but I was not sufficiently impressed enough to read anything more by him. I liked Kesey. I've never read Heller, I am ashamed to say. I read about Jarhead in the New York Times and have meant to read it myself. Be sure to post your thoughts on it.
