		<description>It took me some time to be able to sort through the information and decide that the Cuban librarians were people that should be supported.  I expressed this view to my state Council member at dinner during conference and was suprised that my roommates wanted to keep out of the matter entirely.  Council critter said that's the way her mail was running as well.

		<description>For all the instant condemnation of Codrescu on the council list, I hope his speech might inspire some to take another look at this issue, or at least to appreciate Codrescu's fresh perspective on this issue as an intellectual and as someone who grew up in Romania.</description>
