Reviews Resumed

Thanks to Robin and Stu, I’m resuming reviews. I am reading a lot–some of it over and over again–and what the heck, it’s not hard to give a quick review a book I’ve already read three or four times. In the case of Lopate’s collection, it was therapeutic (no index? she continues to mutter…).

Plus today I worked a five-hour block on an essay I’m revising; I mean to work one or two hours… but got into it very deeply. Once I was out, the brain was ready for fun. I’m a librarian, digital or otherwise, and that means books are fun… even old books. I just reread Othello very quickly… might make for an interesting review!

Thankyou for picking up the ball :-)

PS: Our remote village - together with several others - gets visited by “the book bus” once a fortnight. It’s a subset of the city library.
Are you interested in such parochial libraries? If so I’ll blog about it next time they come through, take a few photos and interview the driver/librarian.
