Greg, it's ok... really. If I start wearing pink nail polish, then the cult deprogrammers need to show up and take me away.

Rikhei, estrogen is known for being a kind of fountain of youth... for women my age, it can make skin appear plumper and moister (just as after a rain, the trees and lawns seem to rejuvenate). To see this in action, microwave some raisins with a spoonful of water and see how they plump and shine.

Can you please clarify what you meant by the following statement? "The city now has that post-rain estrogen-patch glow." Thanks. :)

On the Gorman correction - Gorman might have known that had he consulted... ahem ... Wikipedia. The Wales article clearly states Wales trusts Google like one trusts a politician.

Would have made me question the quote, anyway.

Students regularly ask me at the desk about what to do when they find a quotation in an article and they want to use it in their paper. I point out to them that the can cite the quotation, as long as they clearly indicate in the reference list that it's "as quoted in Jones", but that they really should go to find the original source of the quotation, especially if it's easy to find.

One would think that finding the original source, or context, of a quotation by Mr Wales would be easy with google.
