I was glad I broke them, though. Beating fresh-laid eggs is a whole new experience -- they feel dense in the bowl, like real food, and they cook up thick and full of flavor. Yum. I do buy the more expensive brown ones at the grocery, just because they are pretty...but "pastel blue and green and yellow, some with tiny tan speckles..." Oh my.
