I was included in a focus group pre-Google's Book Project, and while we all signed an agreement not to discuss the actual conversations, I think I can legally say that it was clear to me (and others in the group) that they weren't really interested in hearing negative or cautionary comments. I came away with a strong "we're Google, and if we want to do [whatever] we will, whether or not it's a good idea" feeling. Do No Evil may be their credo, but Don't Listen to Others is also high on the list.
