The underlying point of voting early is great and I did enjoy the list of reasons, though the early voting spot I frequent was PACKED every single freaking day. Did I mention it was PACKED? I mean, this is a good thing and I'm all for mobilizing the citizenry, but my MINI and I cruised round and round looking for a parking spot to use the library--that's right, I just wanted to go to the library and revel in it--and we narrowly avoided dings from people who may have the right to vote but sure don't need to be driving. After six straight days of this at my branch library, I decided to just stay away and take my chances on the Big Day since my polling station is in a church and that seems to have some kind of magic repelling power. Lots of snacks and never once a line, including two presidential elections! Hmm, maybe not entirely a good thing.

Only if you're trying to stir things up! A troll is someone who writes inflammatory posts to blogs or newsgroups or any other online discussion forum to gain attention or start an argument or flame war. There are many good definitions on the internet, and you can find them by typing this into google: "define: troll"
I love the "define:" search on google.

Hi!

While not new to the whole blogging world I have often wondered what the term "troll" or "trolled" means. Can someone please tell me? Am I doing it now? ;-)

Thanks for the calm responses... anything related to Internet censorship and McCain opens some old(if to many, obscure) wounds. Kleinman has trolled here before.

Happy voting!

A fairly balanced account of the ACORN voter registration issue is available here: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/breaking-news/story/727278.html

A couple of key quotes:
"Republican Gov. Charlie Crist has little bad to say about ACORN even now. He told reporters this Wednesday when asked if there was a worrying amount of fraud: ``I think that [there's] probably less than is being discussed. . . . As we're coming into the closing days of any campaign, there are some who enjoy chaos.''

Crist's election chief, Browning, said the state is ready for the election and that he doesn't see a pattern of fraud that can be blamed on ACORN's organization. Echoing Browning and other county election supervisors, Mary Cooney, a spokeswoman for Broward County Election Supervisor Brenda Snipes, said the office had a good working relationship with ACORN."

Bottome line: this stuff occasionally happens with any organization that is registering voters. If Mickey Mouse actually showed up to vote, now, that WOULD be a problem. I'm guessing he's a Palin supporter. :-)

Here's a useful and non-partisan way to learn the details of options like early voting and absentee ballots all over the U.S.: http://vote411.org/

For many people the requirements and restrictions for voting have changed recently, maybe since the last time they went to vote, so it's worth double-checking all the details.

And, hey, look, I can vote early, too! I think I will. Great idea!

Oh, hey, welcome to my blog. Leave some toxic tripe, and then give me and the blog's readers instructions about how to respond to your comment, so we don't say anything "personal," like what a dirtbag operation you are associated with or how you are a censor in the grand tradition of McCain, who a decade ago was pioneering Internet censorship.

The fact that you are sexist, homophobic, fearful of ideas you disagree with, intolerant of diversity, and have an unreasonable hatred of ALA -- yes, I'll set all that aside and carefully consider your smear campaign. Maybe you could follow up with a comment about Senator Obama's middle name.

I think it is absolutely indicative of the bankruptcy of your political ideas that instead of speaking to the issues you drone on about supposed voter registration problems. That's all you and your compadres have left, that and the slurs of Palin et al.

I seriously considered deleting your comment, but the last time I deleted a comment I disagreed with I later regretted it, as it would have been good fun later to point to a bad decision.

How do you Florida voters feel about the Obama team (and I'm including ACORN on the Obama team) stealing votes in Florida? For example, Mickey Mouse is voting courtesy of ACORN.
http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/elections/article852295.ece

"ACORN's problems included applications with unreadable handwriting, missing information, signatures that didn't match those on file, altered dates of birth or Social Security numbers, applications for people already registered to vote and names that appeared repeatedly, often with different addresses."

I'm not saying you should not have voted for Obama. I am merely asking for your honest reaction as a Floridian to the Obama/ACORN election fraud scandal currently ongoing in your state where you voted. Leave anything about me personally out of your answer as it would not be relevant to the question I asked or the honest answer I seek.
