I think I&#039;ve been reacting to the OCLC report that found that librarians (not libraries but librarians) are key to the public&#039;s opinion of library service, which ties into funding. I agree that they probably could have expanded this to say /library workers/ since the public doesn&#039;t have any idea of the distinction... but thence the source.</description>

		<description>I don&#039;t want to be picky but I have an issue with the title of this post. Perhaps it should say &quot;libraries rock&quot;. Librarians do rock, no doubt but so do all the other library workers that make libraries work! Let&#039;s not forget about the library assistants, technicians, IT people, etc. without whom libraries would not function.</description>
