Here I am at Council 3, feeling fat, tired, and poor… but bravely holding the colors for LITA. The LITA blog has been fantastic! Go read all the yummy techno-library goodness and leave your own thoughts.
I’ve had a really good conference and loved meeting so many librarian bloggers. A big, big thanks to OCLC for hosting Sunday’s Bloggers’ Soiree, which was a high-energy party bringing many of us face to face for the first time. If OCLC doesn’t do this at Midwinter, there’s nothing preventing us from congregating on our own–and LITA Forum will have a bloggers’ event, as well.
I have to get you folks caught up on FRL’s happenings, but I’m still in the thick of it and flying home this afternoon. Sandy has been away at her own conference, so I assume I’ll find pizza boxes and Chinese food containers scattered around the house (we are convinced that when we’re both away that the cats order in take-out–they just have that sneaky expression when we come back). I have an essay to come up with by late Friday night, so FRL will be brief until this long, somewhat quiet, South-Beach-intensive weekend.
But ok, I have to brag (more about this later): Movable Type gave me a BlogHer Conference scholarship!
Now back to bidness. Talk to y’all soon!
