Sometime this weekend MPOW‘s RSS feed went over 10,000 Bloglines subscribers. Couldn’t happen to a nicer site.
Why, you ask? Well, it’s good. Well, many things are good.
1. We pimp it on our site.
2. We wrote a really good tutorial and link that from our main page.
3. Most of all, Bloglines considers us comparable to very well-respected feeds, so we’re in a strong confidence-rating zone, a self-fueling cycle where readers of the New York Times and the Beeb and Scientific American and so forth ask Bloglines what’s good to read, and Bloglines says LII. Apparently these readers agree, so more of those readers subscribe, so our confidence goes up, etc. I don’t have empirical evidence for this analysis, so tell me if it’s wrong.
