Both of us cried near the end. As Sandy said, the movie was more spiritually moving than several years’ worth of Good Friday services. I had expected my mind to wander; the movie couldn’t be as good as the books, I told myself, and of course it wasn’t–but it was still very, very good, very spiritually rich, with well-cast children and fetching animations and plenty of swashbuckling battle scenes; and Liam Neeson’s voice was perfect for the lion.
We had intended to see the latest Potter, but it was sold out. Now I’m afraid to see Harry et al. lest it pale next to Narnia.
I recommend you still see Harry Potter, too. They do not need to be compared.
