So I finally got around to registering for ALA Annual Conference this afternoon… only to have the system insist that I’m already registered. (I’ve had my room for months–wanted to be sure to get one early so I wouldn’t end up at the Bates Motel, as was my well-deserved fate at Midwinter.)
I either have a oh-so-kind Benefactor, or I’m getting feeble-minded, or the ALA conference registration system has a problem. I suppose these three possibilities aren’t mutually exclusive!
On that note, after spending the afternoon preparing for a meeting, during which no fewer than three times I loaded the printer with very pretty matte paper and each time proceeded to print junk instead of the handout I meant to produce… it’s off to the Y and then to Kepler’s for a real, bought-in-a-bookstore book or two, since the Pastor is away and I can do Anything I Want, which is always fun for the first 24 hours.
