My online banking has been giving me these messages:
“The service for your external transfers account has been closed.”
“There is no account associated with that transaction.”
The transactions look fine, and payments happen… but these messages (in bolded dark orange) made me anxious.
So naturally I waded through dialpad hell (Would you like to hear an irrelevant recorded message, or plod through seventeen choices to find out how to speak to a real person?).
“Those messages are due to an upgrade we are doing that causes error messages.”
“So those are irrelevant error messages that have nothing to do with anything?”
Pause. “Yes, those are irrelevant error messages that have nothing to do with anything.”
I start to laugh. He continues, “Do you need anything else today?”
No, really, that will do it!

So Karen, since you moved the last time the Post Office has stopped it’s mail forwarding service. Seriously, I filed one online form, two mail forms and called both post offices and the customer service number and I still only got my mail because someone I knew purchased the house. Be forwarned. I just got a collection notice from my old house (the account was cancelled last July!) for some amount that they can’t tell me about and the joy of it is, they might be right and I just might have never received the bill.
Well… they’re forwarding Sandy’s mail (somewhere; we’re not sure where) but I’m totally with you. When we moved from Point Richmond to Palo Alto they got about half of our mail right. I am personally calling every major account I can think of (credit, bank, etc.) because I don’t trust the USPS to get that right.
