Another reminder to feed subscribers: the new feeds are here… I would recommend subscribing to rss or rss2, and the comment feed:

If WordPress ever catches up to the modern world of 2005, please update the Atom feed to 1.0 (RFC 4287) and start recommending that. RSS has some rare but severe interop problems.
It is amazing that WordPress even ships an Atom 0.3 feed. I thought the spec was pretty clear about that format, “This draft is made available for historical purposes only; DO NOT implement it or ship products conforming to it.”
This seems to be a current WordPress plugin for Atom, but I’m no judge of WordPress software: http://benjamin.smedbergs.us/wordpress-atom-1.0/
Walt, good input. That is truly behind. You know what else? I’m rather stunned WordPress doesn’t ship with an out-of-the-box backup module, including cron. Yes, I know I can back it up myself. But why should I have to? What are plugins for?
Anyway, thanks. I’ll check out that plugin.
I read your blog on google reader, and the new feed (rss) is only passing through the first few lines of each entry. Consequently I have to click through to view the whole thing. IMO this defeats the purpose of using a reader, although I know others prefer to see excerpts only. I am less likely to click through to read the entire post than I am to read it in the aggregator. Is there an option for a feed that includes the full entry? I admit, I have not yet tested all the feeds to see if one of them does this.
HHW, try the rss2 feed:
