And I love Jessamyn, who was the first to pick up (as it were) ALA’s cluelessly erotic tagline for the 2007 National Library Week celebration. She has another image, which I warn you is not work-safe. (These two ladies at least have clothes on.)
Reminds me of the world of rose gardening, which has issued roses with names like “Golden Showers.” I just wonder if someone was having a little fun when that tagline was selected…
SIGH – I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought of this.
Wow. Just wow. WHAT were(n’t) they thinking?!
And here I thought our branch was being edgy by having Tattoos @ Your Library today! That’s not really what we called it, but we did have a henna artist come and talk about the artistry and meaning of henna tattoos across time and cultures, and give free tattoos to any who wanted them. I am now sporting a lovely dragonfly on my left ankle, which should remain in flight for about a week.
Gillian… your branch was being *intentional.* 😉
Also, “eclectic.” In the past 3 program days we’ve been visited by:
a team of Alaskan sled dogs (Sat)..
Madeline, the storybook character (Mon)…
a henna tattoo artist (today)…
That’s fantastic! I love the sense of humor she showed.
